JUU AFRIKA is committed to improving learning outcomes and life skills among children and youth. We believe in equitable access and quality education for all children and youth regardless of the backgrounds. We affirm the importance of education as the foundation for human development. We aim to:

  •  to promote foundational literacy and numeracy skills and improve learning outcomes and promote social and behavioural change for young children and youth in and out of school.

  •  to enable children and youth to overcome low self-esteem, building their confidence, problem solving, creativity, critical thinking, and life skills to engage in and outside the classroom, and beyond.

  • We use fun, contextually relevant and multi-platform educational media that reach, children, families and communities.

Human life is dependent on the environment as it provides habitation and many ways to live and survive. The world is facing an unprecedented environmental crisis, and the conservation of nature has become more crucial than ever. We direct our efforts in environmental education and conservation by supporting environmental programs in schools and at community level. We believe that environmental education promotes critical and creative thinking skills and inspires children and youth to become more engaged with their communities. Among other things, we aim to achieve the following objectives:

  • Raise awareness among children, youth, and community members about the impact of human activities on the environment and the consequences of environmental degradation.

  •  Teach children, youth, and community members about the basic concepts of ecology, biodiversity, environmental ethics, and sustainability.

  • Instill passion for the environment and environmental leadership aspirations among children and youth.

  • Inspire children and youth to form sustainable habits and take action to conserve nature by promoting positive attitudes towards the environment and providing practical tips for sustainable living.

We design and conduct innovative educational and environmental research to inform our programmes and to generate evidence to inform policy and practice.
